TONITE is an app by VELMONT for planning nights out with your friends and keeping the memories. This page explains what we store, who can see it and what you can do about it.
What we store
- Your account: email address, password (stored encrypted, we cannot read it), username, display name, profile photo and date of birth.
- Your Nites: plans, stops, times, places, polls, links, chat messages and who is in the crew.
- Photos and videos you upload. We remove location and camera data (EXIF) from photos before they are uploaded.
- Posts you choose to share, with likes, comments and saves.
- Night stats you enter yourself. These are optional and private unless you share them.
- Social connections: friends, follows, blocks and reports.
We do not sell your data, we do not show ads and we do not use tracking cookies. The app only stores what it needs to keep you signed in.
Who can see it
- Everything inside a Nite (plan, chat, memories) is only visible to that Nite's crew.
- Private chats are only visible to the two people in them.
- Posts are visible according to your profile settings. Private profiles are only visible to approved followers.
- Accounts of people under 18 are always private and never appear in For You.
- Your date of birth and email address are never shown to other users.
Where it is stored
Your data is stored with Supabase, our database and file storage provider. The website is served through Cloudflare. Both process data only on our behalf and under data processing agreements.
Why we use it
We use your data to provide TONITE to you: to run your account, show your Nites to your crew and keep the app safe. That is the legal basis: the agreement you make with us when you sign up. We use reports to handle abuse.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while you have an account. When you delete your account, your profile, posts, stats, follows and private settings are deleted. What you added to a shared Nite, such as messages, photos, videos and plans, is part of that crew's memories: it stays visible to them, without your name. You can delete your own uploads and messages before you leave, or ask us to remove them.
Your rights
You can view and change most of your data in the app. You can delete your account yourself in the app (Settings, Delete account) or on the delete your account page. You can also ask us for a copy of your data or to correct it. Send your request to velmontsoftwares@gmail.com from the email address of your account. We answer within 30 days.
If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
